What is the Dolomites Last Loop?

In the “Dolomites Last Loop” in backyard format, all participants run the same fixed lap over and over again, which is usually 6.706 kilometers (4.167 miles) long – so that 24 laps together add up to 100 miles. Each lap starts precisely on the hour (for example, at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, etc.). Runners must complete their lap within that hour and be back at the starting area in time to compete again in the next hour. Those who do not make it back in time are eliminated. The race continues until only one runner remains. This runner must then complete one final lap alone – if they manage to do so within the hour, they win the race.
